An exploration of the why the role of death doulas today is predominately occupied by women [90% female registered EOLDs]. Why is this role so gender-specific? What are the cultural & societal influences? How is this likely to change as the demand for end-of-life doula care increases with an aging demographic of seniors and a stretched hospice & home care support sector.
